– Improved the Twitch Plays experience. To avoid event stacking, accumulated events will now trigger more frequently.

General

-Added character descriptions and base characteristics to the character selection menu.
– The cost of Arcane spells has been increased to balance the large number of Arcane Crystals collected.
– The cost of artifacts found in dungeons has been increased to balance the large amount of gold collected.
– The Siren Mask now adds +2 extra penetration.
– The Ocean Mask has been re-added; it now converts all damage to the Water element when equipped.

Camp

– All rooms have been reviewed to fix issues and balance their difficulty.
– Albert can now be rescued to unlock his shop. In his shop, you’ll have access to a wardrobe where you can buy and equip different outfits.
– Mint can now be rescued in the Prison, allowing you to invest in her workshop and unlock different cosmetic appearances for Neku.
– Caye can now be rescued in the Prison, enabling you to unlock the Orchard.
– By cultivating the Orchard, you can modify some of the characters’ starting attributes.
– There are 8 slots, and each crop can be upgraded up to three times. Each crop type provides a bonus to one stat and a penalty to the other two. Find the best possible combination to suit your playstyle.
– Fox can now be rescued in the Prison; you’ll be able to encounter him randomly in the dungeon through different events.

Law System

After completing the Prison for the first time, you can unlock it from the entrance passage to the Tower. Activating the system applies a set of random handicaps. In return, end-of-floor bosses will grant an additional Arcane Orb for the camp chest when defeated. Each time you complete the game, you unlock the possibility to apply one additional law per floor. Completing the game with three laws active allows you to face the Herald of the Tribunal as the current final boss (defeating it will grant an achievement in Update 2).

Level Editor

– Added a new static floating rock platform.
– Improved the free transition image between levels so it is also visible to players.

Dungeon Master Mode

– If you have at least one controller connected, Dungeon Master Mode can now be activated when playing editor dungeons or those downloaded from Steam Workshop. In Dungeon Master Mode, the mouse-and-keyboard player has access to a dedicated interface to manipulate the dungeon, placing traps, objects, etc., while the controller player can enjoy the adventure at the same time.

Extra
Just by purchasing The Shadowed Rune during Early Access, you will automatically receive the Imperial Outfit for all characters when unlocking Albert’s shop. This outfit will no longer be obtainable once The Shadowed Rune leaves Early Access.

Patch Notes – Version 0.378

  • Steam Workshop integration. +INFO
  • The experience curve has been smoothed. Leveling up is now easier overall, as each level requires less experience.

  • The difficulty of levels 1–2 has been reduced. Boss, Greed, and Survival rooms will now only appear starting from level 1–3.

  • Increased the chance for hearts to spawn when breaking pots.

  • Enemies now wake up faster and react sooner.

  • When enemies appear in ambushes or final boss encounters, they will detect you much more quickly.

  • Fixed the behavior of several enemies that were not dealing the correct damage or were not attacking properly.

  • Fixed some minor errors in various rooms.

  • Fixed several minor bugs in the editor.

  • Fixed a crash when accessing the prologue.
  • Manifests for created levels are now properly synchronized.
  • When playing with a controller, you can now exit the text input interface in the editor or the Portal Room by pressing the A button.
  • Fixed a bug where wall traps were not correctly firing their projectiles.
  • You can now set a cover image for Workshop levels directly from the game.

Patch Notes – Version 0.376

Campaign

  • Fixed a bug that prevented objects far from the center of a room from being activated when triggering mechanisms.
  • Modified and added new maps on floor 1-1, replacing the more complex platforming levels. Wooden platforms are now static.
  • Rebalanced the mana system:
    • Initial mana reduced to 50 points.
    • Each mana upgrade now adds +25 points.
    • Automatic regeneration now starts after 2.5 seconds without attacking (previously 2 seconds).
    • Base mana regeneration has been reduced.
    • Updated mana cost formula: activated orbs x power level.
  • Adjusted the mana bar in the UI so it scales correctly at high levels.
  • You can now choose a rune when starting a dungeon. Each unlocked character adds the rune of their corresponding elemental affinity.
  • Reduced the difficulty of the Sludge Lord:
    • Lower total number of enemies.
    • Enemy spawn rate from its hands reduced to 50%.
  • Arcane orbs now restore player health when collected (reward for defeating a floor boss).
  • Added a shrine between the 2nd and 3rd level of each dungeon.
  • Improved the animation of the key reaching the final dungeon door.
  • The dungeon entrance portal now activates automatically.
  • Adjusted jump/dodge speed to provide a slight boost when used, at the cost of consuming dodge charge.
  • Optimized the Sludge Lord level to improve performance.
  • Increased the chance of finding hearts when breaking jars.
  • Fixed the Flying Golems bug.
  • Fixed several minor bugs across multiple tower levels.
  • Applied various general performance optimizations.

Level Editor

  • Improved the editor’s global map view:
    • Increased size.
    • Activators are now displayed correctly.
  • Added a biome selector to the editor, allowing levels to be saved with different biomes (they must be previously discovered in the Tower).
  • Added new advanced doors and keys:
    • 3 doors and 3 keys added to the portal category.
    • They work like portals but allow you to configure the destination level.
    • If not configured, they always lead to the next level (+1).
    • They can be used to create return paths or jump between dungeon slots.
    • If the corresponding key is not placed, the door will appear open.
    • An extra decorative door with roots has been added as a non-interactive entrance.
  • Torch on/off puzzles and water vessel fill/empty puzzles can now be activated multiple times, even if another activator temporarily cancels their effect.
  • You can now name the dungeon by editing its name on the guide stone in front of the entrance portal.
  • Added five campaign NPCs to the editor, allowing short dialogues to be assigned to them.
  • Added items to create shops. Prices are fixed.
  • Added arcane orbs to the editor, with limited usage.
  • When activating the dungeon exit portal, the entrance portal is also activated automatically.
  • Fixed the trajectory calculation formula, making it more accurate.

Workshop

  • SteamWorks integration.
  • In a future update, it will be possible to add cover images to Steam Workshop items (temporary technical limitation).
  • Added a new portal in the camp that allows downloading and playing levels created by other users directly from Steam Workshop.

Version 0.369 – 08/12/2025

  • Fixed a bug with the Training Arena achievement. You can now obtain it again by surviving at least 3 minutes in the arena (due to an error, you previously had to survive at least 4 minutes before the patch).
  • Fixed a bug with the “Librarian” achievement; it is now easier to obtain.
  • The mouse cursor no longer appears until the first button of the game is shown.
  • Improved controller navigation in menus and fixed several related bugs.
  • Improved controller handling so the cursor feels smoother and responds better in the menus.
  • Optimized the Quick Start button (continue on the last played profile); it should now correctly remember the number of players from the last session.
  • Fixed several bugs in random levels and in the editor.
